After chatting to many primary teachers this year and asking them about what they like about summer courses and what they would change, the length of time to complete a course often came up.
“It can feel like you always have something hanging over you all summer”.
This is why our courses have been divided up into 3 groupings of:
EARLY SUMMER (1 – 18th July)
MID SUMMER (22nd July – 8th August)
LATE SUMMER ( 12th August – 23rd August)
All courses are 10 hours online, supplemented by 10 hours offline. Courses must be completed in the allocated time-frame.
This frees you up to enjoy the rest of your summer… guilt-free!
Courses consist of twenty hours of learning.
These include ten hours of online learning and ten self-verified hours allowable for other learning activities.
Each course is broken into five modules. To successfully complete each summer course:
Participants must complete two discussion forum posts per module that demonstrate achievement of the modules stated learning outcomes.
Participants must complete an end of module assignment (reflection, quiz, task) for each module.
Participants must complete an end of course assignment which demonstrates how the course will impact on your teaching.
All of our Summer Courses are DES approved for EPV Days.
1 Course = 3 EPV Days
2 Courses = 4 EPV Days
3 Courses = 5 EPV Days
