Meet the “Rahoolies”!

On Saturday 30th March, the newly established Rahoo Professional Tutor Team for Summer 2019 had a little get together. We had chats, drank tea, ate cake and figured out if we had any friends in common! It was a lovely bonding experience and it is exciting to get so many passionate teachers to come together and work towards supporting other teachers with CPD. We even bribed them with self-care goodie bags and mugs for working on Saturday!
It wasn’t all fun and games – we did knuckle down and do some real work too. The objectives of the training day was for the Professional Tutors to:
- To feel empowered and prepared to facilitate Rahoo Summer Courses to the highest possible standard.
- To recognise the support and resources available to support them.
- To understand the valuable part they play in the Rahoo journey.

We talked about the Rahoo vision, values and culture and what kind of organisation we wanted to create. We talked about the teachers we work for and their needs. One of our Professional Tutors and Course Authors from 2018 shared some top tips with the group to help them do their upcoming roles effectively and efficiently.
