Upcoming Webinar 3 March 2021: “Enhancing Teaching & Learning Using ICT in the Classroom”

ICT_in_the _Classroom

A Virtual Event for Teachers on Wednesday 3rd March 2021 at 7.30pm - 8.30pm!

Who is this webinar for?

You are a teacher who wants to improve how you use ICT and digital tools in the classroom.

You are a teacher who would like a better understanding of what tools are easy to use and effective.

You are a teacher who wants to gain confidence and competence in your use of ICT.

You are a teacher who wants to take risks and learn new ways of doing things.

By the end of this webinar, you will:

  • Know how to engage students in learning by using digital tools, instead of worrying about which ones to use.
  • Have clear, practical guidance on using ICT to enhance teaching and learning, instead of scrawling the internet for ideas.
  • Feel empowered to take the next step in your journey to becoming a digitally savvy teacher, instead of feeling unsure of what to do next.
  • Be able to support colleagues with ideas and know-how for their classroom, instead of being unable to help or offer suggestions.

Why have you created this webinar?

We created this course because we want to support you in enhancing teaching and learning using ICT in the classroom.

We are passionate about professional development for teachers and have worked with over 5,000 teachers since 2017. As a teacher, you are the most important person in the classroom – you make the greatest impact on the students in front of you.

What is included?

“Enhancing Teaching & Learning with ICT in the Classroom” is 1 hour in duration including Q&A opportunities.

This webinar will be presented by a prominent member of the Rahoo team, Claire Daly.

Claire is a primary school teacher whose passion for ICT led her to complete a Masters degree in Trinity College titled ‘Technology and Learning’. In 2017, she was awarded the inaugural ‘Bianca Ní Ghrógain’ award from the Computers in Education Society of Ireland (CESI) which recognised her innovation in classroom practices.

Claire has authored two popular technology-based courses with Rahoo; Distance Learning Tools and ICT in the Classroom.

The webinar will be recorded and available for you to re-watch up to two weeks post-event.

A downloadable Certificate will be accessible after the event.

Limited Availability.

When does the webinar start and finish?
The webinar starts and finishes at 7.30pm on Wednesday 3 March to 8.30pm. Please try to be 5 minutes early and get yourself cosy with your cuppa and notebook – and a few scented candles – go on!

What if I can’t make it at the date and time? Can I attend later?
Yes – sign up as usual. Then ignore any reminder email we send about the upcoming webinar – sorry in advance! The event will be recorded and the recording will be shared the next day and available up to two weeks post-event to watch. All you need to do is log back into our platform and it will be there on the event page.

Will I be visible to other attendees?
No! Imagine a dark theatre with the lights shining on the stage – and nobody can see each other in the audience – we use Zoom webinar technology and so it is not like attending a virtual meeting. As well as this, questions can be inputted anonymously.

Do I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes, you can get a certificate post-event to download. Please ensure you do this within two weeks of the event.

Why do you charge more than education centres for your webinars?
Rahoo is an independent organisation and unfortunately do not receive any government funding. To ensure our viability and sustainability (and make sure we’re here to provide you with a service!) we are unable to subsidise our webinars. However, we often subsidise courses and offer discounts and freebies for teachers – yippee!

Thank you for taking the time to check out this webinar.

Feel free to get in touch with us at info@rahoo.ie if you have any questions you would like to ask. We love hearing from you and will do all that we can to support you!
